The striker netted a brace in the 6-3 win over the Bairns after coming off the bench at half-time
Buzzing Bojan Miovski insists he’s ready to be the sharp shooter that fires Rangers to the title race glory.
The former Aberdeen ace has had a frustrating time in Glasgow since signing from Spanish outfit Girona last summer.
But the North Macedonia international looks primed to have a major say as Gers dart for the Premiership finish line after blasting three goals off the bench in his last two outings.
Boss Danny Rohl opted against handing the 26-year-old a start on Sunday as his side made the trip to Falkirk.
But he was glad to have Miovski in reserve with Rangers’ 2-1 down at the break.
His half-time introduction helped to swing a crazy encounter back in the Light Blues’ favour, with his double sending Gers on their way to a thrilling 6-3 triumph.
Now Miovski is targeting a starting slot alongside Youssef Chermiti – and believes that together they can provide the firepower that guns down title rivals Hearts and Celtic.
The striker – who is among the nine different Rangers players to have netted in their last three free-scoring performances – said: “Yeah, of course. In the previous clubs, I played with two, I played alone. So, for me, it doesn’t matter what the system is – I just want to play.
“Of course, it’s helpful when you play with two strikers.
“It’s like you have someone close to you who can help you. When you play alone, you are more waiting in the box and waiting for the wingers. But yeah, it’s up to the coach to choose who wants to start.
“Every player needs to be ready. I came on second half and helped the team.
“There’s competition in the squad. I’m always ready, I work hard and I wait for my chance. So, when my chance comes, I’m ready to take it.
“Every striker wants to score goals and win titles. So, of course, I would like to help the team to win the title.
“Always I’m ready. If I start or come second half or come five minutes, I’m always ready to give my all. It doesn’t matter how many minutes I play.
“It doesn’t matter how the result is, we always go for a goal. We don’t want to defend or keep the result. We’re at Rangers, we’re a club that wants to dominate and score as much as we can. We’ll see in the end what happens.”
Rohl revealed there were angry voices in the dressing room as his raging Rangers stars let rip at one another after a dismal first period the Westfield astro.
But the heated half-time showdown helped clear the air – and clarify what was needed for victory.
By the end, the Ibrox side were all smiles again having roared past John McGlynn’s team, with the emphatic Bairns bashing sending out a statement intent for the run-in.
Looking back on the interval inquest, Miovski said: “It’s not always easy when you change the grass and the frustration and emotions are here.
“But, of course, we support each other. We need to stay calm in this situation, be positive and help our teammates.
“Everyone speaks in these moments. The captain and everyone. We have a big personality in the dressing room.
“We know how to manage these things. We are experienced guys.
“It good that every one is now standing up and making their voices heard in the dressing room.
“That’s good for everyone to step up in the right moment and now he’s setting the right moment.
“In this kind of situation, you need to stay calm. It’s still 45 minutes to play and, of course, we can turn on the game.
“We saw what we did wrong in the first half and, of course, we created more chances in the second half and we scored.”
The Rangers fans were singing Miovski’s name at full-time – and had a message for the players as they dusted down the old Keep Believing banner they famously unfurled as their team completed their Helicopter Sunday triumph back in 2005.
“It’s nice for the fans to say my name, it gives me a lot of confidence and I’m here to help the team,” said Miovski.
“I think every player has believed from day one. It’s not like now in the moment or the last two games. We believe and, of course, it’s a big help for the fans that they support us.”
Miovski netted his first Gers league goal against Falkirk back in October but it wasn’t enough to save former boss Russell Martin from the sack as a bleak afternoon ended with the axed boss needing a police escort out of town.
But the picture is far brighter now.
Miovski said: “The league is like a marathon, it’s not one game. So, of course, you have ups and downs. The previous game was not good here.
“Now we are in a situation where we are one point behind. So, as I say, consistency is the key and I think the last couple of games we played really good and it was positive things.”
Nico Raskin was Gers’ star man with a vital strike and contributions to four other goals.
“He’s a fantastic player, a great character and of course he’s a great player,” added Miovski. “He played for the national team of Belgium with their big players. Of course, he helped us today a lot. He was a man of the match and I hope he can keep playing.”
