Celtic and Rangers Eyeing Move to Sign 19 G/A Forward

Celtic and Rangers are set to go head-to-head in the summer transfer market as they battle to sign an in-form forward.
The two Glasgow clubs are often shopping in the same market when it comes to new additions, due to their similar statures in terms of club size.
Both sides will be looking to bring in reinforcements in the upcoming summer transfer window as they look to climb ahead of each other and lift the Scottish Premiership title.
Celtic and Rangers may be slightly disappointed with how the season has gone, with Hearts currently leading the way at the top of the table.
As a result, we could see both clubs being relatively busy in the summer window.
Celtic and Rangers in Striker Battle
According to a report from Football Insider, Celtic and Rangers are both interested in signing Tawanda Maswanhise from Motherwell in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old is enjoying a phenomenal season in the Scottish Premiership, leading the goal-scoring charts with 17 strikes.
Maswanhise has provided 19 goals and assists combined in the league this season, so it’s no surprise that the likes of Celtic and Rangers are showing an interest.
Motherwell are believed to be braced for potential interest from clubs, and considering he’s proven himself in Scotland, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Celtic or Rangers make a move.
But who will win the race for his signature remains to be seen.
Next Few Weeks Could be Key
The next few weeks could be absolutely crucial when it comes to Rangers and Celtic signing players in the summer transfer window.
One of the Glasgow clubs could qualify for the Champions League this season, which would see them shopping in a different market in terms of signings.
A player like Maswanhise could easily be interested in a move to Celtic and Rangers, but Champions League qualification might sway his decision.
Playing in Europe will allow the 23-year-old striker to get plenty of opportunities to showcase himself at the highest level. If either Celtic or Rangers make a move, it would be a tough decision for him that could be swayed by European football.
