The Toffees aren’t one of the highest-paying clubs in the English top-flight, but are certainly more competitive financially than they were for many years. The biggest stars at Everton are extremely well paid, while several youngsters won’t have many complaints with their income.

Goalkeepers

England’s number one, Jordan Pickford, is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. As a result, the Sunderland-born shot-stopper is handsomely rewarded at Hill Dickinson Stadium, taking home £150,000 each week.

His deputies, Mark Travers and Tom King, earn significantly less money at Everton. Travers has a contract worth £25,000-per-week, which is £10,000 more than King.

Defenders

Moyes’ first-choice partnership at the heart of the backline is English duo James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite. The former is a Premier League veteran, while Branthwaite has a big future ahead of him. The pair take home an equal share of £240,000 every seven days.

Michael Keane is a more than capable back-up to the English centre-backs. The ex-Burnley defender is on £80,000-per-week. The same can be said of starting left-back Vitalii Mykolenko.

Jake O’Brien and Nathan Patterson often share the burden at right-back. They’ll have some competition as former Arsenal man Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to join the club. O’Brien (£35,000) and Patterson (£28,000) are the lowest-earning defenders in the first-team squad as things stand.

Midfielders

The three best-paid midfielders at the Merseyside club all came from the traditional ‘Big Six’. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall swapped Chelsea for Everton last summer, signing a £90,000-a-week contract.

James Garner and Christian Norgaard, formerly of Manchester United and Arsenal, earn just less than their midfield teammate. Both central midfielders work hard for their £80,000 each and every week.

New arrival Hayden Hackney was highly sought-after due to his impressive displays at Middlesbrough. The 24-year-old was lured to the Hill Dickinson by a lucrative £60,000 weekly salary.

Merlin Rohl, who penned a new deal in 2026, earns £50,000. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz and Tim Iroegbunam make £20,000. Harrison Armstrong can expect a huge pay rise from £1,200 in the near future, as the 19-year-old has already broken into the first-team.

Forwards

After missing out on Richarlison, Everton failed to replace Beto as Folarin Balogun’s proposed move from AS Monaco collapsed on transfer deadline day.

Brennan Johnson has moved twice in 2026, joining Crystal Palace from Tottenham in January, before then moving to Everton in August. The Welshman makes £75,000 at his new club.

Thierno Barry will be the club’s starting striker after Balogun’s transfer collapsed. The Frenchman’s £45,000-per-week wage is slightly more than young English winger Tyler Dibling earns.

Tyrique George, at just 20 years old, is on £25,000. That’s £250,000 less than the figure Jack Grealish will reportedly be paid upon his return to the club on loan.
