The brand new Newcastle home kit for the 2026/27 season appears to have leaked online ahead of its official release.

The new Newcastle United home kit for the forthcoming 2026/27 season appears to have been leaked online well ahead of its official release – with new images suggesting a potentially divisive new design for the Magpies.

Renders of the new home shirt have been compiled by Footy Headlines based on information from a significant leak of several upcoming Adidas kits, which has revealed the expected design direction for several elite clubs including Arsenal and three other Premier League teams.

The information remains unconfirmed and likely will not be verified until the summer when Adidas begin releasing their kits for next season – but we’ve got all of the details of the alleged leak below.

What Newcastle’s home kit for the 2026/27 season will look like – according to new leaks

A render of Adidas’ new shirt design for Newcastle’s 2026/27 season can be seen above, with Footy Headlines claiming that it is accurate to descriptions they have uncovered of the new jersey – but it should be made clear that the final design may be different in some regards even if the leak proves true.

For instance, it’s hard to know whether the ‘blurred’ design of the thicker black and white stripes running across the front of the shirt will look exactly as portrayed here, or perhaps as something closer to Argentina’s current home shirt, also designed by manufacturer Adidas.

Either way, the distinctive new style for the stripes will likely divide opinion among fans, as will the greater than usual volume of blue trim, which appears on the sleeves, collar and in the traditional three stripes which run down the shoulders of most Adidas kit designs.

It’s similar in many ways to the kit worn by the club in the current season, which also features a stylised take on the traditional stripes and a larger than usual volume of pale blue – and which received a distinctly mixed reaction from the fans when first revealed.

Newcastle fans react to early leak of new home kit

Much like its counterpart from this season, the supposed new Newcastle shirt hasn’t been universally well received by supporters online, with some taking to social media to voice their scepticism over Adidas’ latest work for the club.

Some fans complained that the forthcoming shirt represented “another recycled old design” while another supporter said that “1994 called, they want their jerseys back.” Few comments were especially supportive of the new look, if indeed it could be described as such given the likely close resemblance to the current kit.

Still, most Newcastle fans will be rather more preoccupied by whether they can qualify for Europe once more this season than by the clothes they’ll be wearing once they get there – but after the 2025/26 kits were widely panned by fans, Newcastle supporters can’t be blamed for looking forward to something a little more original in the kit design department soon.
