Newcastle United‘s Nick Woltemade has no intention of leaving the Premier League side amid exit claims.
The Magpies invested €75m plus bonuses to sign the striker from VfB Stuttgart in August 2025.
He had a good start to his Newcastle United career but lost prominence towards the end of last season.
The Germany international managed 11 goals and five assists from 51 matches in his first season. Last month, the player said he wasn’t happy with how he finished the season but is confident of succeeding at St James’ Park.
He said: “Of course, I’m not happy with how things have gone in the past few months. Especially since my start at Newcastle was so strong. That raised expectations, including for myself.
“I moved to the Premier League at 23, the best league in the world. I’ve learned a lot this season. I’ve improved athletically, I can keep up with the tremendous pace. I can hold my own in challenges. Overall, it’s been a step forward. That’s why I have no doubts about Newcastle. I’ll make my mark there.”
On Monday, claims from elsewhere talked about Eddie Howe’s side granting the 24-year-old permission to leave this summer.
Sky Deutschland have contacted Nick Woltemade’s agent Danny Bachmann for an update.
The representative, who wasted no time in dismissing this, ‘confirmed’ to Sky that these links ‘originated from fake accounts’ stating the Newcastle United man wants to go out on loan.
Although Sky says ‘confirmed’, they don’t relay any direct comment from the representative. That isn’t unusual, which agents often not wanting to go on record directly.
Newcastle United man’s big ambition
The Tyneside club haven’t granted Nick Woltemade permission to leave this summer.
Sky claims Newcastle United sporting director Ross Wilson is a big fan of the player. Therefore, the official has no plans of letting the German leave either on loan or permanently.
The ‘truth is’ the frontman also wants to continue at the club. He is in top shape and has set ambitious goals for himself next season.
With all parties happy with the player, he will be under Eddie Howe’s orders next season.
