Nottingham Forest Approach Final Stages of £34 Million Deal
The 2025/26 season was a forgettable one for all connected with Nottingham Forest. They finished 16th in the Premier League and struggled for much of the season, despite a run to the Europa League semi-final, where they lost to Aston Villa.
The managerial merry-go-round at the City Ground contributed to plenty of disappointing performances last campaign. Nuno Espirito Santo was replaced by Ange Postecoglu, which was a disappointing outcome for all, before Sean Dyche took over the reins, before Vitor Pereira led the club to safety. Oliver Glasner has been selected as the latest man to hopefully bring some stability to Forest. The “Tricky Trees” had been linked with Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande, but the deal appeared to have faltered; now Fabrizio Romano is reporting a deal is close to being reached.
