Newcastle has reportedly set a price tag that it would be happy to accept for Anthony Gordon amid links with Liverpool and Bayern Munich heading into the summer window

Newcastle has set a price tag for Anthony Gordon amid interest from Bayern Munich heading into the summer, with Liverpool and Arsenal also having been linked with the England ace in recent months.
Gordon has scored 17 goals so far this season, with more than half of those strikes coming in the Champions League. However, he was left out of Newcastle’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth, a day after Eddie Howe made a point of saying he would not pick players who were not prepared to give 100 per cent.
Though the official line was that Gordon had an injury, interest is clearly there in him ahead of this summer. Newcastle looks set to miss out on qualifying for European soccer next season and currently sits 14th.
According to The Times, the Magpies will let Gordon leave for a fee of around $100 million (£75 million) this summer. That is a price that Liverpool agreed to pay for the player back in 2024.
At that point, Gordon almost moved to Anfield when Newcastle was up against PSR restrictions and needed to sell stars. In the end, it managed to sell Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh instead, and the Gordon exit was avoided.
The player admitted at the time that his head had been turned, though he later signed a new contract with Newcastle. However, the rumors regarding a potential departure have never fully gone away.

This summer, Newcastle is in a position where it needs to sell to buy again, despite the sale of Alexander Isak to Liverpool last year. Gordon appears to be a prime candidate, with Sandro Tonali also linked with an exit.
Newcastle dragged the Isak saga all the way through the summer in the last close season, but an early exit would have allowed it to better prepare for being without its star man.
This time around, it will perhaps approach the Gordon scenario in a different manner. An early sale being sanctioned would then allow for the funds to be reinvested in a much-needed overhaul of Howe’s roster.
Bayern Munich has had a great deal of success in recent times when buying players from the Premier League. It signed Luis Diaz from Liverpool a year ago, and he has had an excellent first season in Germany.
