Rangers Player Wages Structure 2026/27: Full Breakdown of Weekly Salaries

Rangers’ reported player-wage structure for the 2026/27 campaign provides an interesting look at how the squad’s salaries are distributed across senior players, established first-team figures and younger members of the group. The supplied wage table shows a wide gap between the highest earners and the lowest-paid players, highlighting the different levels of experience, responsibility and contract status within the squad.

At the top of the structure are Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti, both listed on £30,000 per week. Their position at the summit makes them the joint-highest earners in the supplied Rangers wage list. That figure represents a significant weekly commitment and places both players ahead of the rest of the squad.

The next level includes Ben Godfrey, Nedim Bajrami and Bojan Miovski, who are each reported to earn £25,000 per week. These salaries put the trio firmly among Rangers’ leading earners. Their presence in the upper section of the table reflects the importance of experienced and established players when it comes to the club’s overall wage structure.

Dujon Sterling follows on £22,000 per week, while Cammy Devlin is listed at £20,000. Both figures underline the sizeable difference between the top group and the middle section of the squad. From there, the table becomes more evenly spread, with a number of players earning £15,000 per week.

That £15,000 group includes Min-su Kim, Emmanuel Fernandez, Dan Neil, Vanja Dragojevic, Ivor Pandur, Tochi Chukwuani, Ryan Naderi, Nicolas Raskin and Thelo Aasgaard. Having several players on the same reported weekly salary suggests a sizeable middle tier within the Rangers wage structure.

Ross McCrorie and Olwethu Makhanya are next at £12,500 per week each. Below them, Kosta Nedeljkovic, Daisuke Yokota, Derek Cornelius and Djeldi Gassama are listed on £10,000 per week. Tuur Rommens is slightly below that level at £9,600, while Liam Kelly is reported at £7,700.

The lower end of the supplied structure includes Lyall Cameron on £6,000 per week and Connor Barron on £5,000. Ross McCausland is listed at £3,500, while Leon King is reported at £2,500. Clinton Nsiala sits at the bottom of the table alongside Findlay Curtis, both listed on £1,000 per week.

The figures also show how dramatically weekly salaries can vary within the same squad. The difference between the reported £30,000 weekly wage of the joint-highest earners and the £1,000 figure at the bottom is £29,000 every week. Over a full year, that gap becomes substantial, demonstrating how contract negotiations and squad roles can have a major impact on a club’s wage bill.

According to the supplied table, the combined weekly wage figure is £413,300, while the annual figure is shown as approximately £22 million. The table also includes reported bonus figures, indicating that the club’s total player-cost commitment could rise depending on performance-related payments and contractual incentives.

It is important to stress that football wage figures published online are often reported estimates rather than official club disclosures. Actual salaries can include bonuses, appearance payments, signing-on fees, image-rights arrangements and other contractual components that may not appear in a basic weekly wage figure. Therefore, the numbers should be treated as reported figures from the supplied wage structure rather than confirmed payroll information.

For supporters, the table also gives useful context when assessing squad building. A higher salary does not automatically guarantee a starting place, and a lower salary does not mean a player lacks importance. Managers still select teams based on form, tactical needs, fitness and performances. The wage figures simply illustrate the financial commitments attached to different players and provide another perspective on the club’s squad planning ahead of the 2026/27 season as part of future recruitment strategy.

Overall, the Rangers 2026/27 wage structure shows a clear hierarchy. Shankland and Chermiti lead the list, followed by a group of highly paid senior players, a broad middle tier and a lower-paid group featuring younger or less established squad members. The structure offers supporters an interesting snapshot of how Rangers’ reported salaries are distributed and which players sit at the top of the club’s wage ladder.

Rangers transfer news: Minsu Kim joins from Girona as Ibrox club’s 12th summer signing

Rangers have signed winger Minsu Kim in an £8.5m deal from Spanish side Girona.

The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on an initial four-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.

Kim is Rangers’ 12th summer signing, with striker Kevin Kelsy expected to follow after the Ibrox side agreed a £9.2m deal with his club, Portland Timbers, ahead of the transfer deadline on September 3.

As the South Korean international is not in Rangers’ Conference League squad ahead of tonight’s play-off second leg against Jablonec, he could make his debut at Aberdeen on Sunday, live on Sky Sports.

He joined Girona in 2022 and, after impressing with the B team, made his La Liga debut in October 2024, before featuring in the Champions League the following month.

Last season he scored six goals and provided four assists while on loan at La Liga 2 club Andorra.

Kim said: “I’m so happy to sign for Rangers. I know it’s a big club with great, great fans.

“I want to help the team to be better every day, to be a good person, and to do everything I can to help the team win everything that comes our way.

“I have a lot of excitement and I believe I have the mentality of a winner. I want to face whatever comes next head-on and I’m going to give the club what it deserves.”

Manager Derek McInnes added: “We are delighted to welcome Minsu to Rangers. Strengthening our options in the forward areas has been a real target and focus for us throughout this window, and we believe he will add another exciting dimension to the squad.

“Minsu is a talented young player with excellent technical ability, energy and a real desire to develop, and we are looking forward to working with him.”

Raskin transfer interest ramps up

Meanwhile, McInnes has confirmed Nicolas Raskin has not travelled to the Czech Republic for the club’s Conference League play-off second leg due to growing transfer interest in the midfielder.

Sky Sports News reported on Monday that clubs from across Europe and England were keen on the Belgium international, having previously confirmed that the likes of Atalanta and Real Betis had shown interest earlier in the transfer window.

It is thought interest has been shown in the 25-year-old from teams in Spain, Italy, France and England.

Raskin has two years left on his contract at Ibrox.

Rangers have a 1-0 lead ahead of their play-off second leg against Jablonec, as the clubs battle for a spot in the Conference League.

McInnes said: “Nico hasn’t travelled. Nothing to do with injury or anything like that, just the potential of a transfer, potentially. I just think we’re so late in the window, maybe it’s something the club’s looking at. He’s trained this morning but has been left back in Glasgow.

“When I came into the job, it was quite clear that there was going to be an opportunity for Nico. There’s been plenty of interest in him. We believe that interest has stepped up over the last couple of days, so something may or may not happen.

“If Nico stays beyond the window, then it would be great to work with him. But if he doesn’t, we wish him well.”

When asked if Rangers might move for another midfielder if Raskin departs – having already added three players in that area this summer – McInnes added: “In certain areas of the pitch, we’re a bit stronger than others. I think everything moves on.

“Nico served the club well. There’s obviously an opportunity for him and the club to capitalise on that for a transfer fee. I don’t really want to say too much about Nico at the minute until, if and when, something happens.

“It’s still an if rather than a certainty. So maybe we can comment a bit more on that if something happens.”
