The Miami Heat, along with the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors, are among the four NBA teams interested in 2019 first-round pick Nassir Little.
Nassir Little played 45 games (with two starts) for the Phoenix Suns during the 2023-24 regular season, averaging 3.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. He shot 46.0% from the field and 30.0% from beyond the arc. Prior to his single season with the Suns, Little spent the first four years of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers, the team that drafted him in 2019.
During his third season with the Trail Blazers, Little had arguably his best year to date, setting career highs with averages of 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, while shooting 46.0% from the field and 33.1% from three-point range in the 2021-22 season.

The Miami Heat find themselves in a different position compared to the other three teams reportedly interested in Little. The Boston Celtics are currently at the pinnacle of the NBA, having won the 2024 title and dominating the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors, once a dynasty, are now on the decline after failing to make the 2024 playoffs, while the Sacramento Kings also missed out despite winning 46 games in the regular season.
The Heat already have solid depth at small forward with Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Duncan Robinson on the roster. However, Little could serve as a valuable backup, providing effective minutes should either Jaquez or Robinson face an injury.
If the stars align, Little might sign with the Heat, joining a team aiming for a deeper playoff run after being eliminated in the first round of the 2024 playoffs.
