Recently Retired Kings Player and Sacramento Executive Relationship

Former Kings guard Jeremy Lamb recently announced his retirement from basketball, but his departure has been accompanied by controversy. Lamb is now dating Anjali Ranadivé, daughter of Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé, who served as the GM of the Stockton Kings, the team’s G-League affiliate, starting in June 2023. Anjali resigned from her position in January, with reports at the time stating that she left to “pursue other ventures,” according to TMZ.

Lamb, who joined the Kings through a trade in February 2022, was waived a year later but returned to play in the G-League under Anjali’s management in November. He was later sidelined for the season in March due to a back injury.

While it’s unclear if their relationship began before or after they left the organization, their situation raises eyebrows about possible internal fraternization. The NBA has strict policies on such matters, as seen in the case of Ime Udoka, who was suspended for the entire 2022-23 season for an inappropriate relationship with a Celtics staffer.

Lamb and Anjali have since gone public with their relationship through an Instagram post, which features them kissing and playing with wolf dogs to promote Anjali’s Jaws and Paws animal sanctuary. This public reveal fuels speculation about the timeline of their relationship while they were still with the Kings.
