Ibrahim Sangare has signed a new contract at Nottingham Forest.
The Ivory Coast international has given new head coach Oliver Glasner a major boost by agreeing a deal at the City Ground until 2029.
“I’m delighted to sign the new contract,” said Sangare.
“It’s a good moment too for me to thank the fans. Last season wasn’t always easy, but they were always with us and I have always felt their support.
“It’s been three years here and it has become a family for me in that time. I feel good, I have learned a lot, and worked hard to get to this point. I’m really looking forward to working with the new coach and for the season to start.”
The club’s chief football officer, George Syrianos, said: “Ibrahim arrived here with experience of playing at the highest level in Europe, and has continued to develop both on and off the pitch.
“Ibra plays an important role in the team, he has the respect of his teammates and having been here for three years, he has a good understanding of what it means to represent Nottingham Forest.
“We are all delighted he has signed a new deal. It’s a reward for his ongoing influence on the pitch, for his quality, and I know he shares our ambition to make sure this Club continues to move forward.”
