Leeds United have made contact over a potential move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Hwang Hee-Chan, according to TEAMtalk.
Hwang has been a dependable servant for the West Midlanders in recent years, netting 13 goals across all competitions back in the 2023/24 season. However, new Old Gold boss Cesar Peixoto has frozen the South Korean out at the start of this campaign, leaving the attacker surplus to requirements.
A number of clubs have reportedly expressed interest in Hwang, including Leeds, Crystal Palace, Hull City and Burnley.
Ipswich Town have also considered a move for the player, but the Tractor Boys are understood to be advancing in a deal for Burnley’s Zian Flemming, reducing the likelihood of them landing the Wolves man as well.

Leeds have already added Harry Wilson to their ranks this summer, strengthening Daniel Farke’s forward ranks. However, the Yorkshire outfit aren’t quite content with what they have at their disposal in attacking areas and are looking to add one more before Tuesday’s 11pm deadline.
Hwang has been identified as an option, and according to Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk, the Whites have made contact about a possible deal, alongside several more clubs.
This competition may ultimately prevent Farke from landing the player, who is yet to signal where he’d like to end up.
That said, amongst the options Hwang supposedly has on the table, Elland Road might be the most appealing.
Hull are likely to be entrenched in a relegation battle, Burnley are in the Championship and Palace have a plethora of forwards that Hwang would likely find himself behind in the pecking order at Selhurst Park.
Thus, providing Dominic Calvert-Lewin with cover and competition might be the best offer the 30-year-old receives this summer.
This isn’t the only bit of business Leeds are attempting to pull off on deadline day. The Whites have reportedly agreed a loan deal to sign Nice left-back Melvin Bard, who they view as someone who can challenge Gabriel Gudmundsson.
