The Jets have formally met with Texas QB Quinn Ewers at the NFL Combine, per MLF Football

Quinn Ewers, a quarterback from Texas, is a 2025 NFL Draft prospect who declared after three seasons with the Longhorns. At 6’2″ and around 210 lbs, he threw for 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns, ranking third in Texas history for both, with a 21-5 record as a starter. In 2024, he had 2,705 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, leading Texas to a Big 12 title and back-to-back CFP appearances. Known for his arm talent, quick release, and poise in rhythm passing, Ewers excels in structured offenses but struggles with deep-ball accuracy, pocket presence, and processing under pressure. Projected as a mid-to-late-round pick—ranging from Day 2 to Day 3—he’s seen as a developmental prospect with a high floor, potentially a backup with starter upside, drawing comparisons to Baker Mayfield or Davis Mills. His Senior Bowl performance could sway his stock in a thin quarterback class.
