Do you have to play Clemson and Miami and miss Wake Forest and Virginia? Do you get saddled with having to play Notre Dame? Do you have to fly across the country to the San Francisco area, or play in Boston in late November? It’s all taken into account as we rank the 2025 ACC football schedules before spring football starts. We’ll dive in with a more analytical, statistical-based version a few times before the season, but for now, it’s all about the eye-test – more like the gut-feeling test. ACC Football Schedule Ranking: Pre-Spring 2025 Big Ten Schedule Analysis Big 12 Schedule AnalysisSEC Schedule AnalysisFiu Bluesky | CFN Bluesky | CFN X | CFN FBFrom hardest (1) to easiest (17), how nasty do all the Big Ten schedules appear to be before spring ball gets going? 1. Pitt Panthers It’s almost like the schedule makers decided to be extra cruel to the Panthers. Not only do they have to go to West Virginia – that’s they’re own doing – but they have Notre Dame on the slate as part of a run of four way games in five dates and five in the final seven. That includes a trip to Stanford, another trip to Miami, and a date at Florida State.- 2025 Pitt Schedule Analysis, Prediction 2. Syracuse Orange Triple yuck. The Orange start out dealing with the orange of Tennessee in Atlanta, start the ACC season at Clemson, have to go to SMU, Georgia Tech and Miami, and if that wasn’t nice enough, they have a road date at Notre Dame. To make this even more fun, there aren’t two straight home games after September 12th.- 2025 Syracuse Schedule Analysis, Prediction 3. Florida State Seminoles These words will be said one gajillion times over the next six months – is Florida State back to form, or close to it? It had better be good right out of the game with Alabama coming to town, and there’s a problem at the end if it can’t get past a trip to Florida. There’s that, and a trip to Clemson, and a date with Miami, and three road games in the last four weeks.- 2025 Florida State Schedule Analysis, Prediction 4. Miami Hurricanes Oh will this be fun. The Hurricanes get Notre Dame and Florida – along with an interesting date against USF – and that’s just September before starting October against Florida State. If that wasn’t fun enough, they close with seven games in seven weeks including road dates at Virginia Tech and Pitt – not exactly tropical – to close. – 2025 Miami Schedule Analysis, Prediction 5. Clemson Tigers Clemson can’t complain about missing Miami, but it feels like it has to play everyone else. There’s no break with the regular season starting against LSU, finishing at South Carolina, with Florida State, at Louisville, at Georgia Tech, and a whole lot of other issues in between. – 2025 Clemson Schedule Analysis, Prediction 6. Virginia Tech Hokies The first half of the season has a slew of winnable games, but there are enough nasty away games to be concerned. Florida State, NC State, and Georgia Tech are away from Blacksburg, the opener is in Atlanta against South Carolina, and dealing with Miami and Louisville isn’t easy. – 2025 Virginia Tech Schedule Analysis, Prediction 7. NC State Wolfpack It’s workable over the first six weeks, and then it all cranks up with a date at Notre Dame and doesn’t slow down the rest of the way. The Wolfpack miss Clemson and SMU, Virginia is a non-conference game, and they have to leave North Carolina just three times. Even better, there’s a week off before two of those games. But they’d better be great early. – 2025 NC State Schedule Analysis, Prediction 8. SMU Mustangs There shouldn’t be a problem if the Mustangs are close to being as good as they were last season. But here’s the issue – the road games. Lots and lots of road games. There’s a run of three in four weeks including a date at Clemson, there’s a long trip to Cal, and there’s even a September game at Missouri State.- 2025 SMU Schedule Analysis, Prediction 9. Duke Blue Devils There are two runs of three road games in four weeks around oddly-timed midseason weeks off. It makes for a relatively easy October, there’s no Miami, SMU, or Florida State, and November isn’t all that bad after going to Clemson.- 2025 Duke Schedule Analysis, Prediction 10. Virginia Cavaliers Outside of a trip to NC State that’s not an ACC game this year, the non-conference slate isn’t bad – there aren’t any others against Power Four teams – and the team only leaves the state once in the first five games. There’s a problem though, with three road games in four weeks in the second half of the season and four in six dates. – 2025 Virginia Schedule Analysis, Prediction 11. Boston College Eagles The five road games are sneaky tough, but hardly unmanageable. The toughest ACC games are at home, but the Eagles have to deal with Notre Dame, Clemson, SMU, and Georgia Tech.- 2025 Boston College Schedule Analysis, Prediction 12. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets It’s one of the ACC’s more interesting schedules, and it might not be that bad. A trip to Colorado and date with Clemson are part of the first three weeks, the midsection is decent, and closing with Georgia is always a thing. It’s a fun slate.- 2025 Georgia Tech Schedule Analysis, Prediction 13. Wake Forest Demon Deacons There are way too many road games packed into the second two months of the season. Starting with NC State and Georgia Tech at home isn’t easy, but the first road game isn’t until October 4th. Starting with Virginia Tech, four of the next five games are on the road – around SMU at home – and the regular season finale is an hour to across the state to Duke. – 2025 Wake Forest Schedule Analysis, Prediction 14. Louisville Cardinals Beat Pitt on September 27th, and a 5-0 start is a must before getting a week off to get ready for Miami. The ACC season finishes at SMU, but Clemson and Kentucky have to come to Louisville. Basically, there’s no real excuse not to have a great season with this schedule.- 2025 Louisville Schedule Analysis, Prediction 15. Stanford Cardinal It’s a long season starting with a trip to Hawaii in Week 0 and ending with Notre Dame in Palo Alto. There isn’t a game against an FCS team, there aren’t two straight home games until the end, and long trips to Miami and SMU aren’t going to help. – 2025 Stanford Schedule Analysis, Prediction 16. Cal Bears It’s a stunningly decent slate considering there are six road games. The cross-country ACC away dates are all spread out, several key teams have to make the journey to the Bay Area, and unlike recent years, there’s nothing on the slate that screams automatic loss.- 2025 Cal Schedule Analysis, Prediction 17. North Carolina Tar Heels Bill Belichick couldn’t be welcomed in with more of a hug. TCU isn’t an easy home game, and a trip to UCF isn’t a breeze, and there’s a week off before dealing with Clemson, and a week off to recover, and … no Florida State, no Georgia Tech, no Louisville, Miami, and SMU.- 2025 North Carolina Schedule Analysis, PredictionBig Ten Schedule AnalysisBig 12 Schedule AnalysisSEC Schedule Analysis
