Ja’Tavion Sanders was put in a tough spot as a rookie for the Carolina Panthers. The team struggled to find any consistency among pass catchers outside of Adam Thielen in 2024. However, there is some hope for Sanders going into 2025 which will be discussed below in his dynasty outlook.

Current Performance
Sanders ended the 2025 season with 33 receptions for 342 yards and one touchdown. He finished with the sixth-most receving yards on the team and was just 15 yards below Diontae Johnson. However, Sanders caught 76% of his targets in 2024 which is a positive sign to take into this coming season. He also averaged 10.4 yards per reception which shows his ability to pick up first downs and record yards after the catch.
From a fantasy perspective, Sanders wasn’t someone you could start every week — even with the tight end position being a disaster for much of the season. He averaged just 2.4 fantasy points per game in standard leagues and 4.4 points per game in PPR leagues. In PPR formats, he did manage to post two games with double-digit points.
Sanders will be the first to tell you his performance last season was subpar, but there’s still optimism for him going into his second year.
Ja’Tavion Sanders Dynasty Price
KeepTradeCut lists Sanders as the TE19 and the 164th player overall going into 2025. He sits just behind players like Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith while ahead of veteran Evan Engram. Despite not having a good season in 2024, it’s very unlikely he doesn’t move up in the rankings as the season progresses. Keep in mind as well that Sanders isn’t even 22 years old yet; he turns 22 in March.
Fantasycalc provides a list of all trades involving Sanders. The overwhelming majority of the trades see him being thrown into the package to push the deal over the line. However, some trades involve him directly. The trades range from a 2025 third-round pick, a 2025 second and third or a one-for-one swap with players like Dyami Brown or D’Andre Swift.
Sanders is a huge buy-low target right now for the 2025 season. Get him while you can, and the price is still low.

With Johnson out of the picture for the Panthers in 2025, his 58 targets will need dispersed amongst players like Sanders, Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker. The organization may bring in another receiver, but that shouldn’t make anyone shy away from Sanders. With Bryce Young heading into his third year, he will need a safety blanket to help keep his confidence high.
Sanders may not reach Sam LaPorta or Trey McBride levels in 2025, but he should definitely be taking major steps forward for the Panthers and dynasty managers.
