Derrick Henry played for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 NFL season, and his move to the team came as a surprise since the running back was initially supposed to play for the Dallas Cowboys this season. Micah Parsons, linebacker for the Cowboys, was asked if Henry would have helped the team win if he indeed joined Dallas instead of Baltimore.
The Baltimore Ravens finished the 2024 NFL season at the top of the AFC North table with 12 wins and five defeats. The Ravens played against the Buffalo Bills in the NFL Divisional Round and lost the game with a final score of 27-25. In that game, Derrick Henry contributed 16 carries for 84 yards, with a solo touchdown. In the 2024 season, Henry managed 325 yards for 1,921 yards scoring 16 touchdowns.
“I’m afraid Derrick Henry wouldn’t even have helped us, you know. Derrick Henry should be blessed, because he played with Lamar. The hypotheticals sometimes can sound pretty good, but, man, we’ve struggled so much that, you know, I don’t even know if Derrick could have helped us. It would have been another Tennessee Titan year for him.” Micah Parsons said to Adam Schein.
Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, finished third in the NFC East with seven wins and ten defeats in the season. The Cowboys were eventually kicked out of the race after being defeated by the Washington Commanders in early January with a final score of 23-19. Linebacker Parsons himself managed 30 solo tackles for the team with 12 sacks in the season.
