Angel Reese has made headlines again by breaking yet another world record. The Chicago Sky star may be sidelined for the remainder of her rookie season due to a wrist injury sustained during a game against the Los Angeles Sparks on September 6, but her impact on and off the court continues to grow.
Known for her active presence on social media, Reese shared some selfies to her personal X account on Sunday, September 8, which quickly went viral.
Reese, sporting braids and casual streetwear in front of a mirror, posted the photos originally on a joint X account she shares with teammate Kamilla Cardoso. Despite the injury setback, Reese remains in the spotlight, both as a social media personality and for her achievements in the league.
On Saturday, Reese expressed her emotions over the season-ending injury, stating, “I never would have imagined the last bucket of my rookie season would be a 3, but maybe that was God saying give them a taste of what they will be seeing more of in Year 2 lol.” While disappointed, she also shared her gratitude, acknowledging that this break would allow her time for both physical and mental recovery.
