It’s not an NBA offseason without a Ben Simmons workout video circulating on social media.
Recently, Simmons worked out with well-known trainer Chris Brickley at The Summit fitness center in New York City.
A clip from the session was shared on X, showing the Brooklyn Nets forward sinking long-range shots and turnaround jumpers. As expected, Simmons confidently made deep shots, though without any defenders present.
Fans are all too familiar with this routine. While Simmons has looked impressive in offseason workouts before, he has yet to carry that performance into the regular season. Many fans on X mocked Simmons, joking that he’s been “in the lab” for what seems like five years now.

It would have been interesting to see the misses along with the makes. Considering Simmons’ shooting struggles throughout his career, there were likely quite a few.
Simmons’ performance has significantly declined since his last All-Star appearance in 2021. The 28-year-old has only played 57 games over the past three seasons, averaging 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists for the Nets, without making a single three-pointer during that time.
