Newcastle are exploring the market to try and add another forward before Tuesday night’s deadline, with Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Bilal El Khannouss two options, according to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie.
It’s been a strong start to the season for the Magpies, despite multiple key players heading through the exit door in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League table, having drawn their first game against Liverpool before beating Tottenham on Saturday evening.

According to Sky Sports reporter Downie, Newcastle’s attempts to sign Fernandez-Pardo are proving challenging, with the Belgian forward valued at around £60 million.
Downie claims that Stuttgart’s El Khannouss, who could reportedly cost £56m or more, is also at the top of their shortlist as they look to bring in an additional forward.
The Sky Sports journalist suggests that whether they bring in a new forward could impact whether Nick Woltemade is allowed to leave, with the German star linked with a loan departure.

After the start of the season, there is no need for Newcastle to panic in the transfer market.
Some of their new young signings have looked impressive, while the likes of Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa have stepped it up a notch from last season.
There’s no doubt the Magpies might need to add more if they want to push towards the Champions League places, but that could be a huge step up from their disappointing campaign last time out.
