The 2026 summer transfer window has already produced a remarkable amount of spending, with Premier League clubs once again dominating the biggest-money deals across Europe.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have been particularly aggressive, while Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Newcastle have also completed major deals.
With the transfer window still open, here are the 20 most expensive signings made by Premier League clubs so far this summer, based on reported transfer fees.
1. Morgan Rogers — Aston Villa to Chelsea — £117m
Chelsea have made Morgan Rogers the most expensive Premier League signing of the summer so far, paying Aston Villa a reported £117m for the England international.
The deal also made Rogers the most expensive English player in football history.
2. Elliot Anderson — Nottingham Forest to Manchester City — £116m
Manchester City broke their transfer record to bring Elliot Anderson back to the Premier League from Nottingham Forest.
The £116m deal puts the midfielder just £1m behind Rogers in the summer rankings.
3. Sandro Tonali — Newcastle United to Tottenham Hotspur — £92.5m
Tottenham made Sandro Tonali their latest blockbuster signing after agreeing a £92.5m initial fee with Newcastle.
Add-ons could eventually take the total value of the deal to £100m.
4. Mateus Fernandes — West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur — £85m
Tottenham have spent heavily on midfield this summer, with Mateus Fernandes arriving from relegated West Ham for £85m.
The move represents another huge payday for the Hammers following their relegation.
5. Ayyoub Bouaddi — Lille to Manchester City — £81.4m
Manchester City have continued their midfield rebuild by spending more than £80m on teenage sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi.
The deal is worth £81.4m initially, with further add-ons reportedly possible.
6. Savinho — Manchester City to Tottenham Hotspur — £75m

Aston Villa moved quickly to replace Ollie Watkins by bringing Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.

20. Valentin Barco — Strasbourg to Chelsea — £34.2m
Chelsea round off the current top 20 with the signing of Valentin Barco.
The Argentine youngster joined from Strasbourg in a deal reported to be worth around £34m.
